Emiliano Zapata was the real thing.
He is the most legendary leader of the Mexican Revolution.
He was a horse trainer by profession and started recruiting an insurgent army to fight for justice.As commander of the Liberation Army of the South, he fought against the Dictator Porfirio Díaz who resigned in 1911.

“ Tierra y Libertad” (“Land and Liberty”) was Zapata´s slogan.
